About me

Webmaster magazine called Russell Reich “[one of] the people who could see far enough into the future to create it.”

Russell is an award-winning experiential marketing leader based in the United States whose work often stands at the intersection of ideas, technology, and design. His credits range from developing the first-ever prescription drug website to designing disease simulators that give doctors an experience of illness from the patient’s point of view. For example, the HeartFX Pod, created for AstraZeneca, won the Horizon Interactive Award and was profiled in the science section of Apple Inc.’s web site.

Russell now leads the creative growth strategy with a team of 30 designers for a leading experiential marketing firm whose clients include Samsung, Canon, Bell Labs, Nike, AT&T, Honda, Bloomberg and Toyota.

Russell is also the publisher and co-author of all the books in the acclaimed "Notes On" series. He received Book of the Year honors from Foreword magazine and an Independent Publisher Award for "Notes on Directing," a #1 best seller endorsed by Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Tom Stoppard, Sir Richard Eyre and three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, Edward Albee. Management expert Robert Sutton, writing for the Harvard Business Review, called it "One of my favorite books on the nitty-gritty of what wise bosses do." And it was named by the authors of "The 100 Best Business Books of All Time" as one of the three best books on leadership.

Russell's second book, "Notes on Cooking," is endorsed by Jacques Pepin, Daniel Boulud, and five-time James Beard Award winner, James Peterson. The New York Times named it among "The Best of the Year." His 3rd and 4th fourth books (co-authored), "Notes on Teaching" and "128 Reflections," appeared in 2011.

Russell served as a Visiting Artist-in-Residence at Harvard University and holds degrees from Colgate and Columbia Universities.
