Story This advertisement was made to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Shizuoka Shimbun (newspaper), and the 65th of Shizuoka Broadcasting System. In the advert, the elderly Mass-media Brothers--personifications of newspaper and television--put themselves through the extreme in order to become more appealing to two young Internet-generation girls. The ongoing message "Surpass Yourself" emphasises that no matter how old they become, this local media is willing to constantly improve themselves. It is also in their hopes that this message can inspire the people of Shizuoka to make a positive change in their lives as well.
