Business Creative Report 2023: Focus MEA

The Publicis Groupe did well for the region last year, as Publicis Middle East scored number 1 in the Automotive category with its work for Jeep; while Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai’s campaign for Kinokuniya Bookstores was at 7th place in Retail - where Leo Burnett MENA also ranked 5th as agency. Just below, at number 8 campaign, were Ogilvy South Africa and KFC with “Anything For the Taste”.

Meanwhile, Ogilvy South Africa and Volkswagen were just outside the Automotive top ten, at 11th place, with “Blind Spot”. Another South African agency, Wunderman Thompson (now VML) from Durban, created the 8th most awarded campaign in Health & Beauty, “Change the Angle” for Lux.

In Entertainment & Leisure, Impact BBDO spoke out about censorship for the newspaper An Nahar, taking 2nd place (as well as 13th). Impact BBDO were also present in Food & Beverages thanks to “Schoolgirl Newscasters” for EBM at 10th place, and FP7 McCann’s “Heinzjack” took the 14th slot in the same category.
