Story There’s probably no more recognizable voice when it comes to criticism these days than Succession’s Logan Roy – also known in real life as Brian Cox. Which is why the actor made such a great fit for Ogilvy’s latest campaign work for The Chicago Internal Film Festival (CIFF), titled ‘Critics Welcome.’ The campaign includes a video trailer VO’d by Cox, which augments the array of assets that underpin the festival’s physical presence, inviting Chicago audiences to awaken their inner film critic, employing humor, wit, and drama to review a variety of festival-related items — from the posters to our newsletter, banners to social media posts. ‘Critics Welcome’ is inspired by the thought-provoking, rib-tickling, and gasp-out loud films at this year’s festival – now in its 59th year, CIFF is North America’s longest-running competitive film festival. The Chicago International Film Festival opening night is tonight, Oct. 11 and programming will run through Oct. 20. This is the 6th year Ogilvy and CIFF have worked together – last year’s campaign, ‘[Life, Subtitled]’ was similarly tongue-in-cheek, with the marquee video VO’d by Rainn Wilson.
